Sound-absorbing material "iwasemi(TM)" utilizing acoustic metamaterial technology.
An innovative sound-absorbing material that achieves high sound absorption and design quality.
iwasemi(TM) is a sound-absorbing material developed by Pixie Dust Technologies (hereinafter referred to as PxDT) by applying unique sound absorption design technology to acoustic metamaterial technology. By adhering it to the walls of conference rooms and meeting spaces, it creates a more conversational environment. 【What is Acoustic Metamaterial Technology?】 Metamaterials are a collective term for artificial materials that exhibit behaviors not found in nature by imparting finely structured periodic shapes smaller than the wavelength to substances. By applying this concept to the field of sound waves, acoustic metamaterial technology generates materials with acoustic properties that do not exist in nature. PxDT has pre-designed a library of basic structures of metamaterials (hereinafter referred to as supercells) arranged periodically with numerous resonant sound-absorbing structures, allowing for the selection of appropriate supercells based on the application scene, and further optimizing detailed design parameters to produce sound-absorbing materials tailored to specific needs.
